LAS VEGAS, NV (December 2022) For twelve years, Bailey Kennedy, LLP has participated in the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada’s “Adopt a Family” program. Starting with the Thanksgiving holiday, Bailey Kennedy employees search online and out in-stores to select the best gifts according to the needs and requests of the two adopted families. Staff then wrap the gifts that would later be presented to the families.
The “Adopt a Family” program was created in hopes of assisting families whose child have been diagnosed with cancer to help alleviate both financial and emotional stress that the holiday season may bring to a family. Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada is a non-profit agency that has been providing support and services for families of children diagnosed with cancer for over 40 years. Candlelighters serve approximately 400 families and 1,800 children, both siblings and diagnosed children throughout the year in Nevada. Children from birth to 21 years of age who have been diagnosed or survived cancer are eligible for services if treated or living in Nevada.
