Law Firm donates over a hundred gifts to families affected by childhood cancer
LAS VEGAS, NV (December 2019) For the ninth consecutive year, the Bailey Kennedy law firm supported the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada by participating in its “Adopt a Family” program. Beginning right after Thanksgiving, employees of the Firm shopped for the two adopted families with an eye toward what each individual family member needed, wanted, or requested. Firm employees bought and expertly gift-wrapped each purchase in what at times resembled an HGTV holiday special.
The “Adopt a Family” program was created in the hopes of assisting families whose child had been diagnosed with cancer to help alleviate both the financial and emotional stress that the holiday season may cause a family.
Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada is a non-profit agency that for over 40 years has been providing support and services for families of children diagnosed with cancer. Candlelighters serves approximately 125 families monthly and as many as 600 children throughout the year. Children from birth to 21 years of age who have been diagnosed with cancer or who have survived cancer are eligible for services if they are living or being treated in Nevada.
