LAS VEGAS, NV (December, 7 2020) Not even a global pandemic could stop Bailey Kennedy, LLP from continuing its support of the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada “Adopt a Family” program. While online shopping was the order of the day, the firm’s employees did not lose that holiday spirit and their desire to help those less fortunate than themselves. Gift wrapping was handled in a socially distanced space in shifts with only a couple of people participating at any given time.
The “Adopt a Family” program was created in the hopes of assisting families whose child had been diagnosed with cancer to help alleviate both the financial and emotional stress that the holiday season may cause a family. Candlelighters serves approximately 125 families monthly, and as many as 600 children throughout the year. Children from birth to 21 years of age who have been diagnosed with cancer or who have survived cancer are eligible for services if they are living or being treated in Nevada.
