Bailey Kennedy Senior Partners John R. Bailey and Dennis L. Kennedy recently celebrated remarkable career milestones, marking four and five decades of practicing law, respectively. To honor their achievements, the Clark County Bar Association (CCBA) recognized both attorneys in this month’s issue of Communiqué.
Managing Partner John R. Bailey was inducted into the CCBA’s 40 Year Club, an honor reserved for members admitted to practice law in Nevada in 1985 and who maintain CCBA membership.
“Being a 40 Year Club member makes me reflect on the journey this has been so far,” said John. “This milestone represents years of dedication to the legal profession and the privilege of serving our community alongside some of the finest attorneys in Nevada."
John founded Bailey Kennedy in 2001, later partnering with Dennis Kennedy to grow the firm into its current team of 11 attorneys and 13 team members. In 2020, he was selected to serve on a panel convened by Nevada Senators Jacky Rosen and Catherine Cortez Masto to assess candidates for recommendation to the White House as nominees for the federal judiciary.
Dennis L. Kennedy, who was admitted to practice law in Nevada in 1975, was recognized by the CCBA as a 50-year honoree, celebrating his distinguished half-century career in law.
“What an incredible 50 years it’s been being a part of the CCBA,” said Dennis. “I am honored to be a part of this organization and to have witnessed the growth and evolution of our legal community over the decades.”
Throughout his career in commercial litigation, Dennis has represented high-profile pharmaceutical and tobacco companies, as well as casinos and manufacturers. He also served as an adjunct professor at the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and is a proud alumnus of the University of Washington.
The CCBA’s 40 Year Club Induction Ceremony and Luncheon will take place on March 13 at Panevino Italian Grille, where inductees and honorees will be celebrated for their enduring contributions to the legal profession.
